Karibu sana - Welcome to Tanzania!
Gain valuable experience in our social project and discover the friendly culture and wild beauty of East Africa. We offer you the opportunity to volunteer in Arusha or to gain valuable work experience during your internship and thus experience everyday life in Africa up close. Tanzania is located on the Indian Ocean and is famous for its diversity of fauna and flora. In the north is the Kilimanjaro massif, which testifies to the volcanic past of the country and invites all volunteers to an exciting hike with the highest mountain, the roof of Africa (almost 6 thousand meters high). The largest lake on the African continent, Lake Victoria, impresses with its beauty, but also with its gigantic size, because it alone almost takes up the area of Bavaria.
Tanzania's wildlife is also exceptional, even for Africa. In the Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and some other parks, you can get to know the habitats of countless, almost unknown animals and be enchanted by the picturesque nature.
The history of the country as a British colony is very interesting and eventful. Especially on the island of Zanzibar you come across historical places and can start exploring. A voluntary service in Tanzania is also a good opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of the different tribes of the country and to get to know their cultural customs and traditions.
The country in the shadow of Kilimanjaro invites you to get to know its impressive nature and interesting people better, to gain new experiences and to be touched by the magic of Africa.
Requirements for volunteering
Minimum age 20 years, no upper age limit
Duration of stay at least 4 weeks up to 6 months
good English language skills
Interest in a respectful exchange on an equal footing
Acceptance of simple living conditions
good physical health and mental resilience
positive attitude
Self-organization, responsibility, motivation, team spirit
